Amor is looking for new home

Amor is a 2,5 year old sable smooth collie male with pedigree, he was rescued from bad conditions, he is in temporary care with me (he is not from my kennel, nor after my dogs). He is only looking for the best home, inside, where he will be part of the family and where he will always have a warm dog bed, enough food, exercise, love, adequate veterinary care, etc. I am definitely not looking for a home where he will be outside in a kennel, in the garden without access to the house or on a chain, or for guarding!

Amor is very communicative, loves stroking, scratching, patting and any other contact with humans, while giving kisses, paws and pressing himself all over a person who is willing to cuddle with him. He is quite active and lively, likes to play and run, so he is suitable for an active person or an active family. He likes walks and would probably be suitable for some dog sport.
Fortunately, the previous poor care and neglect did not leave a big mark on Amor. He is extremely friendly to people, he did not show any signs of aggression when I handled him in any way. He does not react to cyclists, scooters, cars, strollers, he is either pleased with strangers or ignores them, he also seems to like children. He travels in the car without any problems, without making noises, stress, does not vomit, does not drool. If he is sometimes scared of something, he just flinches and when it is nothing, he is immediately okay again, he does not react panicky or aggressively. He can walk on a leash, sometimes he pulls a little. He has good hygiene habits, at home he does not seem to destroy anything. He has no problem being left alone at home, even with a short stay in a cage. He is quiet inside, he barks in the garden sometimes - he guards. He seems relatively problem-free, although in a different environment, with a different approach, he may show himself differently, but you definitely need to work on his teaching and training, set boundaries, teach him everything necessary - he probably doesn't know any commands, sometimes he jumps on people out of joy, rushes to the door, pulls on the leash, etc. But nothing terrible that couldn't be solved with a receptive and motivated dog.
Outside, he sniffs quite a lot, licks at the females and marks everything, sometimes he doesn't notice a bit - just an adult male. This is probably what bothers me the most about him and it could definitely be improved by castration - he hasn't been castrated yet and I would probably leave it up to the new owner, what he prefers.
Amor gets along with females without any problems, with males rather individually, he is certainly not an aggressor or a digger at first contact. Sometimes he bristles a little and makes shoulders, he sits with some dogs, not so much with others, I haven't fully tested it yet. It would be safer if he went to a new home with a female dog or as an only dog.
I haven't had the opportunity to try out the relationship with cats or other pets yet.
Amor is vaccinated, microchipped, has a pet passport, is bathed, treated for external and internal parasites. He had blood tests - biochemistry and hematology and everything was normal, the test for giardia and coprology was negative. Overall, he seems healthy, he doesn't look like he has allergies, skin, or other problems. He is currently fed dry food.
He was born on 1.5.2022, he is 26 kg and 58-59 cm at the withers, he has a scissor bite and is fullteeth. He has participated in a few shows with his former owner, the biggest success is the CAC title. He could continue to go to shows, but he doesn't have very nice ears, so he probably won't be a big show star. He doesn't have fufilled the condition for breeding in my country yet, but it is possible, but there are quite a few of his half-siblings, cousins, etc. in the area, so from that point of view (+ears) there probably wouldn't be any interest in him as a stud dog. Of course, breeding without pedigree or outside the FCI in any case!!!

You can come and see Amor without obligation, get to know him, take him for a walk and see if you would fit together. I would really hate to send him or arrange for him to be transported to a new home without personally meeting and visiting him (perhaps only if I knew the new owner, or someone I know vouched for him). He will go to his new home on a donation contract, I require permanent contact with the new owner - informing me how he is doing, occasionally sending photos, etc. In return, within my abilities and possibilities, I offer advice on care, teaching, training, etc.
I will pack him his favorite dog bed, collar and harness.
Amor is located in Slovakia, near Bratislava
If you are interested in him, do not hesitate to contact me and write something about yourself and the conditions you have for him.
